News/ Jo Hilditch launches her craft drinks brand at Ludlow Festival
Local Herefordshire farmer and entrepreneur, Jo Hilditch, is proudly launching her newly formulated and packaged blackcurrant liqueur - British Cassis - at the Ludlow Food Festival this weekend. Following a successful visit to the Dragons’ Den in 2015 - which incentivised Jo to grow the brand herself - the canny entrepreneur has set about elevating the brand with an improved recipe, a new premium look, and a significant investment in production.
Jo is delighted with the results;
“The new British Cassis is slightly more fortified than before, which gives it an even fruitier and richer flavour. Coupled with our new bottles, we feel this will appeal to a broader audience as we look for new trade relationships. Ludlow is a great place to launch and we expect sales to be high as people start to look for unique gifts for the festive season. We are also now producing a 50ml miniature, which is a perfect stocking filler!”
The project is already bearing fruit with a new export deal in the offing, as well as new listings across the UK including a major drinks distributor. Fans of the original Cassis needn’t despair as the original recipe will remain available through current outlets well into 2017. The new British Cassis will be available online from the middle of September at www.whiteherondrinks.co.uk.
